Become a childminder
Camden provides advice and support to childminders from enquiry stage, through the registration process, and when registered.

To prepare for registration as a childminder:
- Read the Childminder Factsheet (PDF) and our page, considering becoming a registered childminder.
- Attend a free 2-hour information session about Ofsted's registration process. The next information sessions are held on Thursday 16 January 2025 or Saturday 18 January 2025 from 9.30am to 11.30am.
- Complete training, if required, which helps you to understand and implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) before you can register with Ofsted or a childminder agency.
Camden are offering a free 4-day course on becoming a childminder. You must attend all 4 days in order to receive a certificate of attendance.
Date: Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 February and Friday 14 February 2025
Time: 9.15am (for 9.30am start) to 3pm
