Support for tenants experiencing vulnerability
Your wellbeing matters to us. If you're experiencing difficulties and are vulnerable, there are a range of services to support you.
Housing repairs
If you’re 65 or over, in sheltered housing and receiving a care package you can apply to become an enhanced tenant. This means we'll try to prioritise your repair request.

Worried about money, or in rent arrears
If you’re worried about paying your rent or you're in rent arrears, it’s important to contact a member of the Housing Income Team as soon as possible. They’re here to help. You can:

Fire safety
If you’re concerned about fire safety in your building or home, contact our Fire Safety Advisers by email [email protected] or phone 0207 974 1964. Leave your name, contact number and details of your concern and we'll respond as quickly as possible. Find advice about fire and building safety.
Report an urgent fire safety concern
You can report an urgent fire safety concern, like a broken or damaged fire door, by calling 020 7974 4444.
Warmth, income, safety and health services (WISH)
Warmth, income, safety and health services offer support to improve your health and wellbeing. You can access these services by completing a WISH Plus referral. Services include:
- a well and warm home energy efficiency improvements visit
- support for carers
- help for people who are at risk of losing their tenancy
Estate services
Taking rubbish to the bins
If you’re an older tenant or have support needs and you're struggling to take rubbish to the bins on the ground floor, talk to your Neighbourhood Housing Officer. They can arrange for the caretaker to remove it for you.
Parking on estates
If you have a disability or health condition, you may be able to apply for a Blue Badge to help you park closer to your destination. Find out how to apply for a Blue Badge.
Parking spaces on estates are limited and you need a permit. We prioritise applications from Blue Badge holders who live on the estate. Find out how to apply for a permit to park on an estate.

Health and wellbeing
Domestic abuse
If you’re experiencing or are at risk of domestic abuse in your home, or the place where you normally live, you are considered homeless. You do not need to wait to flee or leave your home. Contact us to discuss your housing options.
Maintaining your independence
If you have an ongoing health condition or complex needs, we can provide longer-term support to help you to maintain your independence and live well for longer. Find out about:
