There are lots of sports and physical activities for children and young people in Camden.

London Sport have created Get Active, an activity finder to help you access free and low-cost activities in your local area or from home. 

HAF Camden Active Multi Sports Scheme

The scheme offers free weekly access to activities and healthy hot meals children and young people eligible for free school meals. The scheme is run partnership with the Young Camden Foundation (YCF) and the Holiday Activity Fund.

Weetabix Wildcats

Weetabix Wildcats is a weekly non-competitive football session for girls aged 5 to 11 years old. Run by FA qualified coaches and volunteers it provides girls with an opportunity to try football for the first time or continuing playing while having a lot of fun and making new friends.

Weetabix Wildcats is held every Wednesday during term time from 4 to 5.30pm at Talacre Community Sports Centre.

It costs £3.45 a session but you can try a session for free.

Book a place

Places are limited so it’s important to book in advance. You can book online.

You must submit your form by 4pm the day before the session (Tuesday), any forms received after that time will be allocated a place on the following week’s session.

London Youth Games

The London Youth Games is an annual city-wide event, with over 70,000 young people taking part every year.

Camden Sports Development Team, in partnership with sports clubs in Camden organise teams for the 30 sports available through the London Youth Games. These teams as a collective create Team Camden.

Children and young people aged 7 to 18 years old who live or go to school in Camden are eligible to represent Team Camden. 

Between November and July, there are a series of preliminary rounds and semi-finals, ending in the finals weekend, at the National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace. The games include several disability competitions including Para Games Swimming, Football, Boccia and Athletics.

Wellbeing walks in Camden are free and happen throughout the week.
