Estate Action Days

Estate Action Day events

We’re making big changes across our housing services, and we want to hear council tenants’ views and experiences to help shape these changes.

We’re planning to visit over 40 of our estates and 4,000 street properties, to speak to council tenants about how we can improve while also providing practical advice and support.

At 12 of our largest estates, we will be holding Estate Action Day events. At these events, our council teams will be on hand to help with:

  • Minor repairs in homes and repair advice
  • Advice on housing needs with neighbourhood housing officers
  • Cost of living support
  • Health advice on how to stay well
  • Safety concerns on estates or in local areas

There will also be lots of fun activities and we’ll be asking tenants for their ideas on how to improve the estate – from making it more climate friendly, to making it look better.

To date we have held 31 Estate Action Days, and 2 Neighbourhood Area Action Day events for street and non-street properties (North and West area), visiting over 6,600 tenanted households across Camden (August 2024).

For the areas which we have not yet visited, we will be holding 3 final Action Days for street and non-street properties tenants.

We want to work together

We won’t be able to solve all of the problems raised straight away because some issues within our housing services are complex and will take time to fix.

But, we are committed to working with tenants to do what we can to make sure council homes and estates feel more cared for, and that all of our tenants feel valued.

We will be writing to residents ahead of the Action Days. If you have any questions about our visits in the meantime, you can contact the Intensive Tenant Engagement Team on 020 7974 3295 or email us:
