Do the right thing with your waste

There’s no excuse for fly-tipping and littering in Camden

Fly-tipping can be anything dumped on the street, from a bag of rubbish to furniture.

Littering includes dropping anything from crisp packets to cigarette butts. Help keep Camden Clean - bin it or take it home.

We’ve launched a new campaign called ‘No more rubbish excuses’ after residents told us about the impact that dumped waste on streets and in parks has on the lives of their families and local community. A community safety enforcement team now patrols the streets and issues fines.

If you're caught littering, you can get a fine of £120. If you're caught fly-tipping, you can get a fine of £1,000.

These fines are called Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs).

You can report fly-tips (dumped rubbish), litter or another street cleaning issues in Camden using the Love Clean Streets app.

Getting rid of large items

You should arrange a collection if you want to throw away a large item, such as furniture, or difficult to handle electrical items, such as a fridge.

Large item (bulky waste) collections

If you live on an estate, you may have a bulky waste store – speak to your caretaker.

Items that don’t fit in your bin can also be taken to Regis Road Reuse and Recycling Centre.
