Camden Community Safety Partnership
Camden Community Safety Partnership
What it is
The Camden Community Safety Partnership (CSP) brings together our local partners to improve safety in Camden.
Set up under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, the CSP's goal is to reduce crime, support victims, and help communities to deliver local projects.
The organisations that make up the Camden CSP include the:
- Metropolitan Police service
- London Fire Brigade
- Probation Service
- Health organisations
How we develop our plan
Each year, we develop a Strategic Assessment which looks at crime trends based on:
- recent data
- community safety challenges
- views of our residents
The assessment is used to inform the three-year Community Safety Partnership Plan. By working closely with our communities and partners, we are committed to making Camden a safer place for all.
Camden Community Safety Partnership Plan 2024 to 2027
The Community Safety Partnership Plan sets out how we will work collaboratively across all partner agencies to make Camden a safer place to live, work and visit.
The plan has been developed in response to feedback from residents and data on:
- crime
- antisocial behaviour
- substance misuse
- re-offending statistics
Our local priorities for 2024 to 2027 are:
- drug related activity
- antisocial behaviour
- ‘No Place For Hate’ campaign
- women's safety
- serious violence
To ensure we achieve our priorities, Camden CSP brings together partners at a strategic, performance and operational level. The plan will be implemented by CSP subgroups that support the delivery of local priorities.
We review the plan annually to monitor progress and to ensure our resources are directed towards new and emerging local priorities.
