Building Safety Works, also known as ‘capital works’, are large or major works to the structure or outside of your building and can be for:
- maintenance
- construction
- alteration
- improvement

You can view details for our ongoing and upcoming works at residential buildings across Camden. Search by building name, estate, street name or postcode.
To search for works on your computer, go to the search box on the right-hand side of the screen. On your mobile, the search box will appear at the top of the screen.
Building safety work programmes
Fire safety works
These works are generally identified through Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs.) FRAs:
- look at how safe a property is
- identify fire risks
- make recommendations to improve fire safety
The ‘Type of works’ column shows areas where an issue has been identified and where we plan to take action.
Better Homes External
This 5-year programme delivers external improvements to our council homes. Find out more Better Homes projects, their Project Managers and Resident Liaison Officers. Each project has a dedicated page with information on the project, who to contact and what to expect.
Mechanical and Electrical
This programme addresses issues with communal heating, emergency lighting and lifts works.
Energy efficiency
This programme delivers works to improve energy efficiency and includes installing heat meters.

The capital works team provides a ‘Major Works guide.’ The guide is for all Camden Council leaseholders that receive bills for major works.
