You need to apply for a temporary structure notice (London Building Acts Section 30 licence) if you are building a temporary structure, such as a:
- marquee
- stage
- sculpture
- flagpole
- advertising board
You need to appoint a responsible person to make the application. It is their responsibility to make sure that relevant safety measures are considered.
Make sure you submit your application in plenty of time before your event. The notice must be in place before the structure is installed.
Costs
The cost of applying for a new license varies depending on the cost of your project. This cost will be calculated when you make your application.
